Item Description
Up for auction is a unique and hard-to-find piece of gear history: the Pignose 150R Crossmix. While Pignose is instantly recognized for their legendary battery-powered mini-amps, their full-sized solid-state combo amplifiers from the late 70s and 80s are incredibly rare and have developed a dedicated cult following.
Built in Van Nuys, California, this amp features the classic Pignose aesthetic with its signature brown tolex, sturdy metal corner protectors, and the iconic blue Pignose badge on a black grille cloth. It's an excellent grab for a collector or a player looking for a unique vintage solid-state tone.
Condition & Functionality:
Operation: The amp works great and sounds fantastic. As is very common with vintage audio gear, a few of the potentiometers (pots) are slightly scratchy when moved and will just need a quick blast of electrical contact cleaner.
Cosmetics: Shows typical scuffs and character marks on the tolex consistent with its age, but overall it remains in solid shape with all knobs and hardware present. Please inspect all photos closely for exact cosmetic details.
