1982 Wilton 3" Bullet Vise - Machinist / Collector Special Located in Austin, TX Up for auction is a highly collectible 1982 Wilton 3-inch "bullet" style bench vise. If you know vises, you know the reputation of these American-made Wiltons. I run a working fab shop and have two other heavy-duty vises that I use daily, so I’m passing this one along. I’m a user, not a collector, and this piece deserves a spot on a bench where it will be appreciated. Condition & Known Issues (Please Read): The Good: It looks great, operates well for most tasks, and the jaws are in solid shape. The Issues: The handle has a slight bend to it. Also, the vise gets a little tight when you go to close it all the way down. It works great for most stock, but binds up a bit if you are trying to clamp something under 1/8-inch thick. The Fix: I suspect the internal nut needs to be removed, cleaned, or replaced. Replacement nuts for these are readily available online for around $10. Selling AS-IS as a very easy weekend project for a tool restorer or a great secondary shop vise. Roland Micro Cube GX Portable Guitar Amplifier (Cream) Located in Austin, TX Up for auction is a Roland Micro Cube GX portable guitar amplifier in the cream/white colorway. These are incredibly popular, ultra-compact modeling amps known for their huge sound and portability. Condition & Known Issues (Please Read Carefully): The Good: The amplifier powers on, outputs sound, and fundamentally works. The power supply adapter is included. The Issue: The amp is currently having trouble switching between the different amp models/modes using the top control pots. This issue was first noticed after having the amp along for an 8-hour road trip. The Verdict: . This could potentially be a very easy fix for someone who knows their way around electronics (it might just be dust or vibration from the trip requiring a deep cleaning with contact cleaner, or a simple potentiometer replacement), but it is being sold as a project/repair piece.
