Google image says it is possibly from 1890, and a baby chair. I find it very interesting that it does say baby on the back in reverse as if the company made it as a baby chair, And then reupholstered it and used it as a salesman‘s sample. Purchased in Galveston, Texas in 1940 and given to a 6 year old boy from Gause, that the nuns were taking care of, while he received treatment for drinking Lye at Galveston hospital. Family related.
